The Angler Hat was created in cooperation between Sterkowski x Wild Fish Stories x i – a legendary workshop with 100 years of history meets outdoor fishing know-how.
What makes the Angler Hat stand out?
British Millerain waxed cotton - a top-class wax-impregnated cotton fabric. It combines moisture resistance with the natural character of cotton. Over time, it develops a patina - each hat becomes unique. Hand-sewn in Poland by master craftsmen from the Sterkowski workshop.

Fishing Functionality
Cotton loops around the crown - for attaching lures, flies, hooks. An adjustable chin cord keeps the hat where it should be - regardless of the wind. Patches designed by Tomasz Korzewski (2 designs included) + a wool insert for attaching lures.
Material: British Millerain Waxed Cotton
A fabric with a tradition dating back to 1880. Cotton impregnated with natural wax - resistant to rain, wind, dirt. Breathes better than Gore-Tex. Over time, it develops a patina - the hat lives with you. Can be re-waxed.
Handmade
Each piece is individually sewn in the Sterkowski workshop. British Millerain technology + Warsaw craftsmanship = a hat for years to come.
FAQ
Is the hat waterproof?
British Millerain waxed cotton is waxed cotton - resistant to light and moderate rain (it won't leak for an hour). In heavy rain, water will eventually seep through (it's not Gore-Tex). But it dries quickly and can be re-waxed.
How to care for waxed cotton?
DO NOT machine wash. Clean with a dry brush or damp cloth. If wax is lost (after ~2 years of intensive use), it can be re-waxed with Barbour wax or by Sterkowski. The more it's used, the better it looks - patina is a value.
Is the hat adjustable?
The chin cord is adjustable - it keeps it on your head in the wind. The size is fixed; see the last photo for how to measure your head.
How much does the hat weigh?
~200-250g. Waxed cotton is heavier than synthetics but lighter than felt. Comfortable on the head all day - doesn't press, doesn't fall off.
