Black Bear - Fleece

The Black Bear Wild Fish Stories fleece was created from a simple premise – we wanted a very thick insulating layer that would keep us warm in the field. The first version was made from the thickest fleece available in Poland, but it quickly became clear that thickness alone doesn't solve the problem when it's windy. That's why we lined it with a lightweight windproof fabric that wicks moisture through channels and allows it to breathe while stopping the wind. Only then did we create the fleece we were looking for.

What makes the Black Bear fleece stand out?

Thick fleece + windproof lining - in practice, it provides much more "contained" warmth than fleece alone. The material wicks away moisture, so the fleece doesn't turn into a wet rag when you exert yourself.

Hood with drawstrings - you adjust the circumference, and when the hood is not on your head and you tighten the drawstrings, it forms a high, soft scarf around your neck.

Thumbholes - keep the sleeve in place and close off the wrist.

Crosswise zippered pocket - which is what you praise the most! Things won't fall out when you bend over.

Kangaroo pocket - classic, large, for warming hands and carrying things for a moment.

Net holder under the hood - as in other Wild Fish Stories hoodies. A feature you use when you don't want a vest.

Cut below the butt - extended back so you can comfortably sit on a rock by the water or on an aluminum boat in waders without freezing your butt.
