ESOX Hybrid Jacket

The ESOX Hybrid Jacket - a softshell with microfleece for spring, summer, and autumn - was created to solve a specific problem: the Black Bear Fleece is too warm. We needed a layer that provides comfort when a thick insulation is too much, but the wind can still be felt. We combined softshell with microfleece - each material where it makes sense.

Softshell on the sleeves, upper chest, and hood - precisely where the wind hits hardest and where vital organs are located. Microfleece on the bottom and inside - to maintain breathability and prevent sweating during activity. The result: a jacket-sweatshirt that protects against wind without overheating.

For anglers and outdoor enthusiasts who need a spring-autumn layer - for cold mornings by the water, going out without full insulation, spinning, fly fishing, a walk in the forest. It works as an outer layer in moderate conditions.

What makes the ESOX Hybrid Jacket stand out?

Raised collar - fastened under the neck, it prevents wind from getting in. Combined with the softshell hood, the head and neck are well protected.

Kangaroo pocket higher than usual - we consciously placed it higher for access when you're wearing waders or other high-waisted fishing trousers. One large pocket across the front.

Internal drawstrings at the bottom - classic, but important. They seal the sweatshirt at the bottom when it's windy, preventing updrafts when bending over.

When to use the ESOX Hybrid Jacket? This is a jacket-sweatshirt for spring and autumn - when our Black Bear fleece is too much. Ideal when the temperature is moderate, but it's windy. It works as an outer layer or as a mid-layer under a jacket in stronger winds.

Is it a fishing fleece or a jacket? Neither, which is why we call it a Hybrid Jacket. The cut and weight are closer to a sweatshirt, but the wind protection is like a softshell jacket. It's a category unto itself.

How does it differ from the Black Bear Fleece? The Black Bear Fleece is thick thermal insulation - for winter and very cold days. The ESOX Hybrid is a spring-autumn layer, lighter, with better breathability. If you have both - Black Bear for winter, ESOX Hybrid for the rest of the year.

How to care for the ESOX Hybrid Jacket? Wash at 30°C, without fabric softener. Air dry. Do not tumble dry.
